Walpole Launch their 2020 British Book of Luxury

As a strategic partner with Walpole, the official sector body for UK luxury we have relished in another year to produce the Walpole Book of British Luxury for them. And last night we celebrated its launch with Walpole and many of its members including Harrods and Ettinger at Fortnum & Masons, celebrating the success of British luxury brands big and small.

The final book is a collaboration of four of Walpole’s partners, cover design by House of Hackney, creative director Neil Tookey of Studio Buffalo, the masters of premium paper G . F Smith and of course us as printer of luxury communications. This year’s book is dedicated to forecasting the future of British luxury and features 60 Walpole member brand stories and 11 thought-provoking essays from leading luxury commentators.

All the paper for this edition is from G . F Smith – the first editorial section on Naturalis Absolute White, the Luxury Index is reproduced on G . F Smith’s new highly matt coated paper Max White perfect for the member advertising and advertorials and between these sections is Colorplan Imperial Blue with a fabulous special silver ink. The publication has a stunning silver foil on the cover and we produced both soft and case bound versions for Walpole, all thread sewn allowing for ease of opening as these books will be enjoyed over the next year and potentially much longer.

Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole commented “With the dawn of a new decade, Walpole’s – and the luxury sector’s – focus remains firmly on sustainability, and minimising the impact of our businesses on our environment. We are therefore so proud to again partner with Pureprint on our annual flagship publication: The Book of British Luxury. An innovative, carbon-neutral company whose values so closely mirror those of Walpole’s – and the 270+ luxury brands within the membership – Pureprint’s artisan approach, commitment to quality and extraordinary customer service ensures our 2020 publication is more than just a coffee-table book: it is the perfect showcase of the tangible luxury of print.”

We hope Walpole members enjoy perusing this wonderfully compiled, designed and produced publication as we will. If you want to see a copy just get in touch with us here at Pureprint.
